QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
How much does it cost to have something framed?
The price for your fine art frame is determined by the size of your art and the materials (frame, mat, or glass) you choose. If you would like to get an idea of the cost for your specific framing project, please come in for a free quote. We look forward to speaking with you.
What is the turn-around time?
Generally, your frame will be ready in about 2-3 weeks from when you drop off your art at our store. After choosing your frame design, we order all of the materials to frame your art. We then conduct all assembly in house, by hand. You will get an approximate due date when you place your order.
Are rush orders possible?
Yes, they are. Please let us know what your time frame is and we will try our best to meet your needs.
Do you provide picture hanging services for home or business?
Yes, we do! We will be happy to give a quote by phone.
I broke the glass in my frame – can you replace it?
We will be happy to replace your glass. You have many options to choose from. For our fine art frames services, we carry UV-filtering conservation glass and museum glass which has UV filtering and cuts out most annoying reflections. UV rays are harmful to colors, make your paper look yellow and may make your image fade over time. Even if your glass is intact, it is never too late to upgrade and protect.
Can I bring in my old frame to have something new put in it?
Of course! We will be happy to find the right solution to work with your old frame. In most cases, it is no problem to incorporate your frame into a new design. We can tell if your frame is usable once you bring it in.
Can you a repair a broken frame?
We can repair most frames as long as it is wood and all of the pieces are still intact.
Do you restore art?
We do not restore or retouch paper art or paintings on canvas. We are happy to recommend New Orleans Paper Lab for paper art restoration, and Hudson + Salah for painting on canvas restoration. We do, however, provide photo-restoration services. Please call to make an appointment for an estimate.
Do you make custom mirrors?
Yes! Custom mirrors can be ordered in any size with or without a bevel.
What types of payment do you accept?
We gladly accept Cash, Visa, Master Card and American Express.

Expert Tips
Cleaning and care for your fine art frames:
- Wood frames: spray a mild solution of cleaner on a soft cloth and wipe your frame gently. Try a small area first to see if the finish is affected. Never spray cleaner directly on wood frames. The cleaner may leave marks or even take the finish off your frame. Also, excess cleaning solution might drip down into the frame behind the glass and stain your mat or art.
- Metal frames: although metal frames are not quite as sensitive as wood frames, it is a good idea to spray the cleaning agent onto a soft cloth not the frame itself.
- Glass: spray your cleaning solution onto a soft cloth and wipe the glass carefully to clean it. Then use a dry soft cotton cloth to get rid of any streaks. Your glass will shine!
- Acrylics (plexi): use only plexiglass cleaner and a very soft cloth (available in hardware stores) to clean your plexiglass. Regular glass cleaners, especially in combination with paper towels will scratch your plexiglass and remove the brilliance.
Hanging your frames:
- Our frames are wired and equipped with hardware for your wall. On longer frames, we recommend using two sets of hardware so your frame is well balanced when hung.
- Very tall and heavy frames should be hung from the d-rings on the back of your frame. A wire would cause too much strain on the actual frame.
